The Travel Society Celebrates its 25th Anniversary
Denver-based Host Agency Comes Together For Its Annual Meeting and Travel Mart
(Denver, CO) The Travel Society, a Denver-based host travel agency, will celebrate its 25th Anniversary in business this year. To mark the occasion, the agency is bringing its 130+ Independent Travel Professionals, partnering vendors and associates in the industry together for its Annual Meeting and Travel Mart on February 26th at the Westin Hotel in downtown Denver.
“25 years ago, host agencies didn’t really exist,” says Joan Verdon, Vice President of Operations for The Travel Society. Instead of operating like a traditional agency, The Travel Society chose to partner with independent agents around the country, offering them the administrative support and purchasing power to best serve their clientele. After developing lasting relationships with independent agents and travel suppliers, The Travel Society has designs on building on this success over the next 25 years. Adds Verdon, “So much of our success comes from the camaraderie we have with the agents we serve…There’s a community feel at our agency that’s helped us really become like a family.”
This year’s Annual Meeting and Travel Mart will include opportunities for the agency’s Independent Travel Professionals to both network with their peers and meet one-on-one with over 100 top travel suppliers to learn more about exciting new products and services. A prominent keynote speaker will address the conference before the entire membership enjoys a formal dinner in celebration of The Travel Society’s 25th Anniversary.
