Many years ago, a young 17 year old girl from the Oregon Coast, was selected to be an exchange student in Morocco. She lived with a Moroccan family and was immediately immersed in an experience that forever changed the trajectory of her life. Her heart and mind were opened to learning about another culture and their religion, and her senses were bombarded with wonderful new foods, smells, and sounds. Most importantly, she made lifelong friends.

Thus began my career in travel over four decades ago.

I have been so fortunate to “run the gamut” in the Travel Industry; starting in the days where we phoned the airlines for our reservations and handwriting every ticket to the electronic ticketing of today. There was some niche travel but for the most part, we had to learn to do everything.

As a result, I have very strong corporate and group travel skills, along with handling leisure travel. Some of my travel experience includes:

• Chartering aircraft (including a 727), for large fishery accounts and semi-pro Hockey teams.

• Team travel for Universities and High Schools including air and hotel blocks
