"Heavyset Traveler" Airplane Seats

My client has self-described themselves as "heavyset" and has requested I book two airplane seats on their behalf for their upcoming flight from Chicago to Lisbon. It will be him and his wife - so for two people they would need three seats total. Does anyone know the best way to go about booking this? Would I have to call the airline directly? Additonally, I assume they would have to pay full price for this third seat, correct? Has anyone done this on behalf of a client before? Unfortuantley, flying business class is not an option for them. Thanks!

Most airlines have you enter the name as Viola/Extra Seat. And the only one I know of who gives a discount is Southwest--no good for Lisbon ;-) I've done it multiple times and I always call the airline for up-to-date and their specific ways of doing it. You don't want to mess up with duplicate name but the TSA info will be the same.
