I was looking for a DMC to help with a client's trip to Sweden and Denmark and found Gustav and Nilla at Gustav's Europe in our Partner directory. I love working with in-market DMC, and also wanted t give them a chance as a smaller operation that was new to TTS - I was their first TTS opportunity. Their English is flawless, which helped in communication - and they are were very, very attentive to our client's needs and wants. Being Swedish and based in Sweden, they were able to offer options that were not the major cities and attractions - places I had never heard of before! But beyond that, Gustav and Nilla offered their services as the guides themselves - no employees or 3rd party! This provided a unique embedded experience - our clients said the best part of the trip was having Gus take them to places that were not on their initial itinerary.

While they may not have all the itinerary building and invoicing tools we would associate with a DMC, they were very easy to work with and payment was flawless, with either a net or a gross price. In addition to Scandanavia, they have also work in Greece, Italy, Germany and other markets - both Gus and Nilla lived for a while in each of the markets (esp. Italy). Their experience and guidance helped me put together a unique honeymoon in the Greek Isles for October which is tricky time as places close down, seas can be rougher, etc. They are working with me on an Italy trip for next week - and have access to a very unique Rome excusrion that is not on any website: a visit to a convent with a nun they are friends with! They are friends with the owners of many great restaurants in Florence, Milan, Tuscany and Rome - and helped with reservations and access. If you are looking for a personalized experience for both budget and luxury clients, and a DMC where the owners can actually be the embedded guides (dependent on availability) I highly recommend Gustav's Europe for you.
