Antarctica sail/fly combo-downside..

Clients chose a Lindblad sail/fly option. I was told only 2pct of the fly returns do not leave when they should. My clients are the unfortunate 2pct. Not only did they not leave the next day, but now going into a 2nd day, and still not 100pct. It's just fog, so if they sailed, they could have left King George Island and back to Ushuaia by they time the clients, hopefully, fly back tomorrow. Ships can leave in weather the flights can't, which I knew, but 2pct chance...seemed worth it the chance to them. Wrong roll of the dice, but so you know, it does happen.

I'm sorry to hear what happened to your clients. I have been to Antarctica. Another issue that occurs when going through the Drake Passage is severe storms. I was in 100-foot waves and wondered if I would survive. Glass was breaking, glass doors were breaking, and I thought I was on an adventure from hell. Cheryl
