Panama Canal Cruise - Best High End Suite Options
Hi my client has the Virgin Voyages Posh Suite booked for their once-only Panama Canal cruise MIA-LAX March 2026 - for $40,000. While they love the attentiveness and vibe of Virgin Voyages it is a sigfnicant price vs competitors.
Some options we are looking at are Viking ($22,000 for the owners suite total) and Seaborn, but are open to suggestions and ideas for 2025 or 2026 cruises.
Requirements:
at least 2 attendants per suite and/or butler service. He likes having his Blantons botttle never empty, peremptive and proactive service is a must.
laundry service included (told them I would pay for their laundry if it wasn't included!)
casual dining - they do not want to have to dress up more than business casual for dinner. ever.
modern or modernized/rehabbed ships no more than 5-7 years old. they don't like tired ships.
Full canal passage (FLL/MIA - Panama City, LAX, South America) - they want to go all the way through, not turn around.
Thanks for your suggestions, ideas and recommendations.
I just did a Panama Canal with Explora Journeys in Feb. It was very good. They move the ships around though so I don't know if they have another sailing this year. This is a smaller ship of no more than 900, so it won't have the same type of nightlife as Virgin. It's not adults only, but they don't market to families. On my sailing, I only saw one kid and he was like 11.
