Airline credit use
Can someone confirm the validity of the below for me? A new client has flight credits from her former agent and wants to confirm it is accurate info the former agent is providing. Also - has anyone seen airlines allow extensions for use of flight credit? It was due to a family death. No insurance :(
It’s 32k worth of credit so near impossible to use on one single trip. TIA!!!
Message from other agent:
Airlines have some strict rules, so please read carefully.
You must book it through me so I can run it through the same air consolidator.
You must complete travel by August 14, 2025 (1 year from purchase date)
This credit must be used toward a single ticket and cannot be divided among multiple trips. Any unused credit will be forfeited.
I must book using British Airways or a partner airline, such as American Airlines.
Yes they will want death cert..usually they make you do it on thier website.
